The 6-axis robot is currently the most widely used jointed-arm robot with 6 rotating axes. Due to its properties and freedom of movement, the 6-axis robot is an all-purpose robot whose kinematic design allows it to easily navigate around any obstacles. It is equipped with three rotatory main axes, i.e. serial RRR kinematics, and can therefore be moved in three dimensions. A 6-axis robot has a low interference volume, i.e. the robot itself does not take up a lot of space. The required floor space is very small as compared to the existing workspace. Above all, this type of robot with up to six degrees of freedom offers a high level of flexibility, which allows the robot to execute highly complex sequences of movement.
