This article describes how to replace support arms 1 to 3 on the Horst 1400.

- Remove all screws from the bearing cover and remove the cover
- Loosen all screws on the swivel arm cover and carefully remove the cover.
- Disconnect the plug connection of the bus and encoder cable.
- Remove the housing of the encoder 3 by loosening the countersunk screws.
- Loosen the grub screws with a 1.5 mm Allen key (be careful not to turn the screws round).
- Loosen the fixing screws of the encoder and carefully pull it off.
- Secure the support arm before folding it down and loosen the screw at the connection point between the boom and support arm. Carefully lower the linkage (beware of crushing hazard).
- Loosen the screws of the two wings (caution! The support arm is now free from the entire system) and remove it upwards.
- Insert the new support arm and tighten the hexagon head screws.
- Connect the support arm to the linkage and tighten the screws (beware of crushing hazard).
- Loosen the screws of the two wings (caution! The support arm is now free from the entire system) and remove it upwards.
- Carefully place the encoder on the shaft and tighten the hexagon socket screws to secure it.
- Tighten the grub screws with a 1.5 mm Allen key (be careful not to turn the screws round).
