Exchange support arm 1 to 3 H1400

This article describes how to replace support arms 1 to 3 on the Horst 1400.

Danger resulting from incorrect commissioning

⇒ Commissioning must be performed only by persons with technical and electrotechnical training who were also authorized by fruitcore robotics!

  1. Remove all screws from the bearing cover and remove the cover
  2. Loosen all screws on the swivel arm cover and carefully remove the cover.
  3. Disconnect the plug connection of the bus and encoder cable.
  4. Remove the housing of the encoder 3 by loosening the countersunk screws.
  5. Loosen the grub screws with a 1.5 mm Allen key (be careful not to turn the screws round).
  6. Loosen the fixing screws of the encoder and carefully pull it off.
  7. Secure the support arm before folding it down and loosen the screw at the connection point between the boom and support arm. Carefully lower the linkage (beware of crushing hazard).
  8. Loosen the screws of the two wings (caution! The support arm is now free from the entire system) and remove it upwards.
  9. Insert the new support arm and tighten the hexagon head screws.
  10. Connect the support arm to the linkage and tighten the screws (beware of crushing hazard).
  11. Loosen the screws of the two wings (caution! The support arm is now free from the entire system) and remove it upwards.
  12. Carefully place the encoder on the shaft and tighten the hexagon socket screws to secure it.
  13. Tighten the grub screws with a 1.5 mm Allen key (be careful not to turn the screws round).
